Title page and copyright page dated 1937. 224 pages. In good condition, though outside appearance is worn. Paper over boards is faded and rubbed, slightly exposing boards at corners… where it has been worn down. Minor tidelines along edge of back cover. A bit of fraying to cloth along front hinge, as well as along head and foot of spine, which are slightly bumped. Lettering on spine has faded, but lettering on front cover is clean and readable. Front and rear gutters appear cracked, but binding remains strong and there are no loose pages. SIGNED on front free endpaper by author Robert B. H. Bell. Minor tidelines on far edge of pages; does not interfere with readability of text. Pages are otherwise free of marks or tears throughout. Signed by Author(s).

Rechts vom Künstler original handsigniert. In der Platte unten rechts mit "Paul Geissler Boston Mass.…" bezeichnet. Zeitgenössischer Abzug des Künstlers von der originalen Platte. - Interessante und detaillierte Architekturstudie des Portales der First Church of Christ, die Mutterkirche der Christian-Science-Glaubensgemeinschaft in Boston. Deutlich zeigt sich hier die zeichnerische Radiermanier des berühmten Vedutenzeichners, der eine Reihe von Ansichten während seiner USA Reise 1928/29 anfertigte. - Blatt leicht gebräunt. Im Randbereich leicht berieben. Blattkanten leicht angestoßen. Insgesamt in einem gutem Erhaltungszustand. - - (1881 Erfurt - 1965) Deutscher Maler und Illustrator. Studium an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Erfurt und an der Kunstschule in Weimar. Schuf zahlreiche Ansichten aus Deutschland, Europa und den USA. Er gehört "zu den ersten deutschen Meistern der Radierung mit Architektur- und Landschaftsmotiven" (Richard Braungart).
