The script is precisely dated "5.5.54." (May 5, 1954) and credited: "Full Shooting Script by Peter M. Plaskitt from The Original Treatment by John and Emery Bonett" (the famous husband-and-wife crime fiction writing duo).Further establishing its use as an active production tool, the internal Sequence and Scene Breakdown Index (mapping out Scenes 1 to 278) has been boldly deleted with a manual blue ink diagonal "X" and bears a prominent contemporary handwritten production marker reading: "no need for this", alongside multiple ink revisions to scene intervals.Pagination & Textual Style:Comprising 78 numbered leaves of crisp, black top-copy/studio-duplicated typescript on vintage heavy paper stock, typed on rectos only.
