Eugene Field (1850-1895) was an author of children's poetry and humorous essays, as well as a journalist. Written in his own hand is the first half of the second verse of his poem "Old Times, Old Friends, Old Love". Also included is a formal notice from Field, in it's original envelope, dated May 11, 1893, to Mrs. Drake which indicates Field and his wife having moved homes. Field included a print of his old home located in Amherst, Massachusetts. Upper right corner of front panel bumped, upper edge of rear panel bumped in center.
