Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. ALL FIRST EDITIONS EACH INSCRIBED TO HIS BROTHER. 4 vols., each signed and inscribed to his brother Ken on front free endpapers, 32pp. publisher's catalogue at end of volume one. original tan cloth and printed paper spine, replacement labels tipped in the rear of vols. 2-3-4, uncut as issued, spine labels a little rubbed, occasional light foxing, outer hinges fine, inner hinges of vol. 2 repaired, overall VERY GOOD. The inscriptions vary from the brief "To K.J.M. from A.A.M. Sep. 1st 1919" in the first work, to "K.J.M. once again, and always affectionately from A.A.M. April 19th '26". Milne was very close to his brother Ken (1880-1929), who was the middle of three boys. The two occasionally collaborated on articles, using the combined initials 'AKM'. In his autobiography It's Too Late Now, 1939, Milne dedicated the book: "1880-1929 To the memory of Kenneth John Milne who bore the worst of me and made the best of me.". Inscribed by Author(s).
