"Die von mir in meinen ewigen Erinnerungen vorgenommenen…Forschungen haben ergeben, daß die Erde eine mit Luft gefüllte Hohlkugel ist, daß die Erdschale im Durchschnitt nur zweiundzwanzig Kilometer stark ist [. ] daß die Entwicklung des Lebens in jenem geschützten Hohlraum und nicht auf der ungeschützten Erdkruste begonnen hat." Diese Innere Welt wird von geflügelten Wesen bewohnt, deren Aussenposten das untergegangene Atlantis war. Doch dort im inneren, wo es nichts zu lachen gibt, brodelt es; der wilde Volksaufwiegler Hitlörwüwau versucht die Hohlwelt an sich zu reissen.
