Two volumes, octavos, original deep green flame calf gilt, rubbed, scuffed, newly rebacked, contemporary armorial Adams-style bookplate of Michael Joy, printed in green as noted by the Franks Catalogue (#16757), minor dust soiling, slight age tanning, good. The poets cited are an interesting mixture including Browne, Cleveland, Cowper, Donne (four epigrams of which we locate but one mentioned by Keynes as existing in two manuscript versions only; the three other epigrams are not in Keynes), Dryden, Garrick, Goldsmith, Dr. Johnson (three pages), Pope (six pages) and Swift (six pages), among others.
