Mary Pamela Hamlin [1871-1964] is the author of the popular 1917 play ?Hamilton,? which was also made into a 1931 movie by Warner Brothers. Determined to be a playwright, Hamlin worked at her craft until, in 1917, her play dealing with the career of Alexander Hamilton was produced on Broadway, with George Arliss in the main role. ?Hamilton? was a success in a year when few plays were. ?Hamilton? was made into a 1931 motion picture, with Hamlin helping with the film script.
