Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. The author's first novel. Made into the 1968 film. First edition. SIGNED and dated by the author in the year of publication. Corners bumped, else very good in a good (minor edge wear with clear tape repairs at the spine ends, faded along the spine) dust jacket with John Steinbeck blurb on front panel.

Who made the film version in 1967-68 starring Rod Steiger and John Phillip Law. He has signed / autographed the book and written in pen on the front endpaper : "Produced by / Richard Goldstone / Directed by / John Flynn. / A Robert Wise Prod. / A Warner Bros F Arts Release / Paris 1967-68". Good in very good & fair dust jackets. Very good dust jacket is supplied (has 1 short tear at bottom center of front panel) Book : spine color slightly faded, front inner hinge slightly loosened. Jacket : top 1.25 inches of spine unevenly chipped away; bottom 2 inches of spine unevenly chipped away, spine color faded, several coffee stains on the top left corner of the front panel, lsight over-all darkening, minor wear along edges. 254pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾".
