Octavo original blind stamped red cloth binding with gilt lettering By Authority , title and Price One Shilling on front board. There is a small library barcode on first advert leaf and R.N.L.I library stamp on half title page with small ink number on verso, small pencil number on rear last end paper. There are no other library marks. There is an ink inscription to R. Lewis Esquire With Mr Gray s Compts . This would appear to be Thomas Gray one of the assistant secretaries to the said board of trade who writes the Official Notice of two pages before the title page. There are three pages of adverts on the front fixed and free end paper and six pages of adverts on the last five pages and final fixed end paper. The pagination is half title, blank verso, Official Notice (2 pages unnumbered), viii, 85pp, plus the end papers as described. This is an original 1868 first edition and as such is very scarce.
