Shirley Temple Black was her full married name after the actresses' second marriage. The recipient was Eric Booth (1939-2025), a tenacious British autograph-hunter who by the age of ten had already amassed a large collection of signed photos of Hollywood stars; Booth would write daily to actors, actresses and their agents, collecting a staggering volume of signed photos and building up a huge network of contacts in the film industry.
