Langs de randen van het omslag wat lichte slijtage, maar een kwetsbaar boek in prima staat. De productieve auteur Edmée Delafield (1890-1943) was de dochter van een Welshe graaf en een Britse schrijfster. Dit boek heeft als samenvatting in Wikipedia 'Claudia Winsloe, a dynamo of energy, runs London Universal Services and her home with equal tyranny. Pushing herself too hard, she dies in a collision, and the family and business get on fine without her.' Maar het aardige van deze Tsjechische vertaling is de uitstekende staat van het boek en het opvallende modernistische omslag.
