Soft cover. 1st Edition. 12mo, 19cm, The First Edition, xxvii,194p., in contemporary half calf, blind and gilt ruled bands, gilt center panel decorations, crush black morocco label, marbled boards, in brown cloth slip case with titled cap, some slight edge wear but very good fine sound condition, Scarce. (Ang). ~ The first edition form a series of articles on shooting appeared in "The New Sporting Magazine" of May, 1833 the material was used for an article on shooting in the Encyclopedia Britannica in the 1840's. Editor was James Wilson (pseud. Tom Oakley). Oakleigh Old Manor House is located in Shropshire, England and the estate is presently for sale at 3.5 million pounds.
