Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Illustrations by Henry Alken, John Leech and others. (illustrator). 1st Edition. Green cloth with stamped titles in gilt and decorations in black. Top edge dulled gilt. 8vo; 8.75 inches tall; xvi,307 with an index. Colour and b/w plates. The bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear. A few scatted pencil marks in the margins of the index. Armorial bookplate of Alan Evans. Illustrated with captioned tissue-guarded plates , four in color, by Henry Alken, John Leech and others. The stated purpose of the book was to put together every mention of shooting found in Surtees' writing.
