The drawing is of the artist…at his drawing board sketching a self portrait drawing what appears to be an ancient Greek vase form: the kylix. Otherwise completely clean. This monograph was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery in Philadelphia. The exhibition then traveled to The Renwick Gallery in Washington, D. C.
