Foldout program for the Situationist Alternative Documenta, a counter-festival organized by Jorgen Nash and the Bauhaus Situationiste to protest the Documenta 5 festival, held in Kassel in October of 1972. The program contains documents extensively illustrated in color. The festival featured the work of the various members of the Bauhaus Situationiste, including most prominently the work of Jørgen Nash, the Situationist artist infamous for sawing off (and stealing) the head of Copenhagen's famous statue, The Little Mermaid. A painter, sculptor, and filmmaker, Nash collaborated with Asger Jorgn, Jens Jørgen Nash, Hardy Strid, Carl Magnus and Helmut Sturm, in founding the Second Situationist International, after a split with their French counterparts. Offset. Printed cardboard sleeve folded to contain three documents. Sleeve measures 13 3/4 x 19 5/8 in. Interior documents from 8 1/4 x 11 5/8 in to 12 1/2 x 9 in. Very good.
