One of the last publications of Elkin Mathews, the print run will have been small and it is now scarce. Archaeologist, soldier a…nd poet, Casson oversaw the erection of the monument at Brooke's grave on Skyros. Gardner's woodcuts were 'done from Photographs which [he] took in Skyros in April 1920'.
