Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Bret Harte's popular accounts of life in Gold Rush-era California made him one of the most famous and most highly paid American writers of his time. Hardcover with no dust jacket (as issued). Olive green cloth cover has blind emboss on front cover and spine, gold gilt on spine alone. Boards are hard and straight, may have minor wear from over a century of light use and mild soiling. Hinges are slightly loose, but still very firmly attached. Top and bottom of spine has mild crushing, very light edge wear to the bottom of the boards. This book is in very good condition. We have this many volumes of this series available.
