Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Stated First Edition (with Number Line to 1). Signed and Inscribed by Nicholas Horrock on the blank first front end paper ( 'Dear Marty, Diane and I hope you enjoy this, Nick'). This book appears to be in pretty much perfect condition. You can see the spotless covers in the photographs provided. The silver lettering on the spine is very bright. The edges and corners look perfect. The page edges are also spotless. The book is square, straight, and very solidly bound, nicely tight pages, absolutely no issues. The pages are in great shape. They are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I didn't see any soiling. I didn't see any creasing or dogeared corners. There aren't any markings or attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. You can't do any better than that. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photographs. It is also very clean. It has a little bit of that white vertical clouding that you often see where there is a dividing line and change of fabric between the spine and the covers of the book. This jacket does not have any tears at all. The flaps are in excellent condition, very clean. The jacket is NOT price-clipped and it will be fitted into a protective cover. On the rear cover of the dust jacket, Larry King is quoted 'Great, gripping thriller. I finished it in one suspense-filled weekend.' Also Gail Collins from New York Newsday 'Blood Red, Snow White is a white-collar cliff- hanger, The Firm by way of Chinatown. Who would have expected two major-league journalists to come up with such a sexy thriller?'. Inscribed by Author(s).

Condition: FINE. First US printing. Thriller introducing detectives Pia Kirchhoff and Oliver von Bodenstein, and the first book by this German author to be published in the US. They are summoned to a mysterious traffic accident, and their investigation leads them to a small village, the home of the victim, Rita Cramer. One reviewer noted that the "seemingly formulaic procedural mystery (girls go missing, it ties together with previous murders, townspeople wonÕt open up) is actually a nuanced take on how deeply rooted misogyny is in society, the problems with groupthink, and the power of silence.(Caley Anderson) SIGNED on a preliminary page. Translated from the German by Steven T. Murray. 371 pp. Very near fine in a fine dustjacket (remainder dot).
