Al frontespizio marca editoriale in xilografia con veliero fra i flutti (motto: Auxilium ex Alto). Fori di tarlo che interessano anche antiporta e frontespizio (restaurati). Figlia d'un giornalista, Elisabetta Caminer Turra (1751-1796) si formò attraverso un apprendistato letterario da autodidatta; iniziò presso l'azienda paterna come copista, ma dimostrò ben presto più alto ingegno e ambizioni. Seguì le orme paterne anche nel giornalismo collaborando all' "Europa Letteraria", da lui fondata. Collaborò con il colto abate Fortis, e divenne infine una dei protagonisti dell'Illuminismo veneto. Fu traduttrice non scrupolosamente fedele, ma capace di mediare fra testo originale e pubblico italiano. Solo 1 volume su 4, ma completo per argomento.
