Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Sons and Lovers by D. H. Lawrence, originally published by Viking Press in 1913, is presented here in its hardcover format. While the edition is dated 1913, it was likely printed in the mid-20th century. The book is in Very Good condition without a dust jacket. The cream-colored boards, half-bound in sea-green spine and covers, are elegantly contrasted by black, red, and gold print on the spine, along with a gold vertical botanical design about one-third of the way from the front edge of the front cover. The covers are in great shape, with nice square corners, though the corners are rubbed and the spine ends lightly indented. There are also two small indentations near the center of the spine. The binding remains square and tight, with deckled pages visible from the edges of the text block adding a touch of classic charm. There is minor abrasion to the front flyleaf, and the interior pages are clean and unmarked. In addition to the complete text of the novel, this volume includes critical reviews, a collection of Lawrence's poetry, and several essays about the author. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment to ensure protection from the elements, and a USPS electronic tracking number will be issued free of charge. Feel free to contact us for more information or pictures regarding the book.
