Manuscript / Paper Collectible First Edition
Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Quarto. Scarce souvenir program presented to attendees of a memorial service for W.E.B. DuBois at Carnegie Hall in New York. The program includes many historic black and white photos as well as a biography by Ernest Kaiser, a timeline of DuBois' life and excerpts from his work. DuBois died at the age of 95 in August, 1963 and the memorial was held on what would have been his 96th birthday in February, 1964. Quarto, 15pp. Staple bound paper binding. Fine condition. # 1D-004.
