Byrne, as well as oil company, and drilling equipment company owner and manager of MacDonald & Burns Oil Producers, to whom they are addressed. First edition, thus, of this nicely illustrated Seattle street map for the Century 21 Seattle World's Fair in 1962, from Standard Oil of California. The three postcards from "Ada" describe the trip, beginning with "May get out to see the Fair Next Week;" followed by Aug. 26, 1962 describing "We expect to go to the Fair tomorrow." Next postcard she writes that she "certainly have enjoyed my trip here, and stay too short." Very nice juxtaposition on one of the cards with early 1950's Buick featuring the tooth grille below the futuristic ALWEG monorail cruising past, and Space Needle in the distance.
