3/4 leather. Condition: Very Good. 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 846 pages; 1829 J. J. Woodward, Philadelphia. In two volumes, complete. 414; 432 pp. Very handsomely bound in a modern 3/4 morocco with cloth sides; 5 raised bands over spines and decorative gilt details stamped to compartments. Each volume with complete front matter, including extra engraved title pages and engraved fronti plates. Moderate foxing to engraved front matter, and foxing and toning as expected to the page stock. Text printed in two columns. Superficial rubbing over the raised bands at spine which are perhaps a trifle sunned. VG . Oversize book likely to require additional charges for expedited or international shipping.

Engraved frontispieces and extra title pages, 9 x 5.75", full calf, 459pp, 444pp; 244pp with indexes, covers rubbed, extremities bumped and worn, bottom of spine on volume 2 chipped, spine labels chipping with some missing altogether, hinges loose, inner hinges cracking, some foxing and toning but altogether a decent set. Volume Two is THE BRITISH ESSAYISTS; Containing the Spectator.The Tatler and Guardian.
