Hardcover. Condition: Good. Gray cloth boards with buff-colored linen spines. Covers edge-toned. Edges of spine rough, splitting glued. Previous owner's name in light pencil on ffep, else interior clean and unmarked. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Includes a biographical index of persons named or referred to in the pages of The Spectator and a general index (for Vols. I-VIII). 319 pages. Volume VIII presents the collected issues of the 1714 revival run of The Spectator, an English publication founded by Joseph Addison and Richard Steele, which had its initial run during 1711-1712.
