Spine ends are slightly bumped. There are light underscorings and notations in pencil on around 50 pages. Notations in outer margin on pp. 217 have been partly erased; two greyish portions remains. The publisher's catalogue at end of the volume is dated 1932. The catalogue has been bound with the original sheets. A second edition of this work was published in 1936. Contains, for instance "Romanticism and Classicism" and "Humanism and the Religious Attitude", of which the former inspired both imagism and the modernism of T. S. Eliot. Appendix C contains "The Complete Poetical Works of T. E. Hulme", five poems. From the library of Teddy Brunius and with his signature and bookplate. Brunius (1922-2011) was professor of philosophy at State University of New York 1969-1973, and professor of art history at Copenhagen University 1973-1992.
