Japanese and English text. Our English portion of the title appears only on the front cover and on page 200 as the title of the English-language portion of the book (pages 200-477). Sperry was an American inventor who was regarded by many as the father of modern navigation technology. As this publication of this volume in Tokyo suggests, Sperry had worked closely with Japanese companies and the Japanese Government in addition to Western governments and companies.
