Condition: Very good. Printed booklet advertising Tone Bros. brand spices to American homemakers in 1924. Featuring an image of a smiling grandmother on the front with her baked goods, the booklet aims to appeal to American housewives who want to impress their friends and family with flavorful foods. Provides readers with descriptions of how spices are cultivated and traditionally used, including: black pepper; white pepper; cayenne pepper; paprika; ginger; cinnamon; cloves; nutmeg and mace; mustard; and allspice. Follows these descriptions with recipes ranging from ginger pudding to spice cake and cinnamon buns. Includes full listing of the spices sold in the back. Single vol. (5.75" by 3.5"), pp. 16, in original illus. wrps. Note the doting grandmother on the cover - a sign of loving care in your food.
