Margaret Hughes lived in France during WWII & volunteered to help French prisoners of war held in Meaux. She was decorated 3 times by the French Government for her service to the country & wrote "Les Lauriers Sont Coupes" about her experiences during the war. Book is inscribed to Mardi Hughes and signed and dated by author on front endgage. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed by Author.
