Some say this was the first Lesbian paperback novel; I'm doubtful about that but it was certainly the first paperback Lesbian novel to sell a great many copi…es, some 1.5 million. It is also remarkable because the author was forced to rewrite the ending so it wouldn't portray lesbianism in a positive light, which was illegal at the time. This first printing has moderately toned but clean pages without marks, stains or wrinkles. Some pages have a creased or bent corner. Some pages stick out an extra 1/8" or so beyond the fore-edge of the other pages. The book's spine is concave. There is no reading crease but the text block extends about 1/8" or so past the fore-edge of the front cover. The book's exterior is clean. Corners of the front and back corners are creased or bent. There is light wear to edges of covers and spine. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome. We pack all our books with care and ship in cardboard boxes.
