During his two terms as president, Clinton missed several prime opportunities to either kill bin Laden or simply arrest him when foreign governments offered to hand him over. And as September 11 would prove, his poor judgment cost our nation dearly. With startling new research, exclusive interviews, and without ever mincing words, David Bossie contends that Clinton's administration was interested in economic and political security, not national security, and that his degrading of America's intelligence and armed forces not only made the attacks of September 11 possible but also increased the likelihood of an attack. From the first World Trade Center attack to the millennium bomber of 1999, Clinton made frequent and alarming mistakes in his handling of bin Laden. This book proves, once and for all, that the FBI and CIA's failures that led to 9/11 were caused directly by Bill Clinton himself.

Original Brown Cloth. Condition: Good-. First American Edition. Two-volume set, in matching brown cloth. Both volumes are annotated in pencil (volume 1 heavily, volume 2 sparsely), perhaps by "Gallagher, San Francisco, Apr. 1, 1865," as the former ownership inscription reads atop the volume 1 title page (volume 2's similar ownership inscription was mostly erased before we obtained it); the annotations might instead be by Richard Forsyth, whose pictorial bookplate ("From the books of Richard Forsyth," picturing a scene of old time architecture) is on both volumes. If they're by Mr. or Mrs. Gallagher, one can wonder whether volume 2 has less annotations than volume 1 because two weeks after s/he obtained this set, Abraham Lincoln was shot (in a theatre, of course). Both volumes: spine tips are chipped; bindings have edgewear and soil; corners bumped; each fore edge has a small, faint, minor stain; hinges tight. Volume 1: back outer joint has a four-inch split at top; body of spine cloth has a small chip at left of author's surname; a few bottom margins have soil; one page of index has soil towards the bottom. 424 p. -- Volume 2: front outer joint is split at bottom 2 1/4 inches; a few margins have soil and/or foxing. 422 p. [B2:7:4].
