Apparently the author was hoping that Holbrook would develop a film project based on the Staggerwing airplane. It didn't come about.

Otherwise book is a nice tight sound copy with minimal wear Dustjacket is in Very Good condition with slight edgewear. $ 14.965 original price is present and unclipped on front dustjacket flap. The dustjacket has been placed in a Brodart protective cover by us to protect it and it looks much better than described. . This does not affect the dustjacket in any way, as all taping is done on the outside of the protector. No Signature.

A nice association copy signed and inscribed on the short title page by Olive Ann Beech, co-founder of the Beech Aircraft Company, "To Ignacio E. Lozano,… Best Wishes, Olive Ann Beech 5/23-'73". Lozano (Jr.) is the longtime publisher (now retired) of "La Opinion", founded by his father in Los Angeles in 1926. He was US Ambassador to El Salvador, a director of the Bank of America, Pacific Life, The Walt Disney Company, and Sempra Energy. Olive Ann Beech "earned more awards, honorary appointments, and special citations than any other woman in aviation history and was often referred to as the 'First Lady of Aviation' ".(Wikipedia) DJ, now in mylar protector, is price clipped, has some mild edgewear, and some rubbing to the spine that partially affects the title printing. The top edge of text block has scattered foxing.
