Gilt titling and stamping. A jam packed association copy of Starrett and his Sherlockiana circle of friends. Signed and lengthily inscribed by the publisher and editor of the volume, Michael Murphy, himself a friend and devotee of Starrett's, to Charles Honce, who was Starrett's bibliographer, close friend and to whom the present publication is dedicated (a photo of the lengthy inscription is attached). The publisher announcement for the book is laid in with a note from Murphy to Honce. A facsimile on hand-made paper of a drawing and note sent to Starrett by Frederic Dorr Steele. And last, but most extraordinarily, is a Christmas card sent to the Honces from the Starrett's and signed by Vincent: "My dear Watsons! Ray & Vincent Starrett." The Christmas card, facsimile letter, and publication announcement are in NEAR FINE condition. The book itself is VERY GOOD showing a nasty splash of ink to the cloth binding, otherwise remains Fine/As New. As pictured.
