A detailed and profusely illustrated celebration of Stradivari and his instruments published on the tercentenary of his birth. Although not called for this copy has been INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR "To Mr. E. M. Daggit with all best wishes, Ernest N. Doring, September 17, 1945." Lightly rubbing at extremities otherwise near fine. Clean and tight with crisp text. The slipcase is present but missing the backstrip. Scarce signed. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. SIGNED.

Bessie Bell Collier Ellery was an American violinist who studied under Franz Kneisel. The book itself is a little worn overall but lacking any major damage. There are several newspaper articles and a pamphlet fastened to the last couple page and rear cover. Loose inside the book and included here, there are also several letters and pieces of letters between the book's author and Bessie Bell. Nothing signed or written from her, all to her. As well as a large amount of newspaper articles, pamphlets and various paper miscellaneous items relating to, Franz Kneisel, Stradivarius instruments, people and displays and events associated with those subjects.
