The book purports to be an expose' of a Hollywood glamor queen of the 1940's, but is mainly the sort of "high-class" sleaze that Holloway House produced in the 1960's before narrowing in on the urban black market. The author, Leo Guild, has been called "the greatest hack ever," and this book is evidence of the veracity of that statement. Here's a sample of Guild's style: "She drank down her coffee, locked the door and took off her dress leaving herself in just bra and panties. When she did that, I had an idea."
