Printed "(Private Copy.)" at head of title-page, lacks top wrapper. Inked name of "Loman B. M.D." Very Scarce - WorldCat cites only one copy (in Australia). Presentation Copy, unsigned by "With the author's compliments." This investigation "enters on subjects which are associated in the closest way, with the external conditions of climate, race, and country; and, therefore, it was found necessary to investigate them in different countries [ France, Germany, Austria, Britain] . my aim has been to give the parasitic moulds their right place among the Cryptogams". - Note.
