Binding is As New albeit only ever so slightly cocked. 256p Dj: moderate rubbing, soiling and scratches. Spine: head & foot with thin wear, small tears & chips; rubbed wear to spines edges. Head & foot of flaps spines with small wear & chips; wear to front flap spine. Top-edge with a few teeny chips & thin wear.

First edition hard back binding in publisher's original scarlet cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 8'' x 5½''. Contains 383 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and photographs throughout. Lower spine end and corners slightly softened. Near Fine condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper with two 5 mm chips to the upper spine end and one to the lower, tiny rubs and nicks to the corners, price clipped.
