Rare 4-issue bundle of The Sunstone Review, a vibrant small-press literary magazine published out of New Mexico in the 1970s. These volumes capture the Southwest's creative spirit with poetry, art, and essays by regional and national contributors. Included in this lot: - Vol. 1, No. 1 (Fall 1971) -the first ever issue, scarce and highly sought after. - Vol. 3, No. 1 (1974) -featuring drawings, poetry, and Lawrence & Brett retrospective. - Vol. 4, No. 2 (1975) -special music & arts focus with Santa Fe Opera coverage. - Vol. 4, No. 4 (1975) -special poetry section, tributes, and regional art. Condition: These are well-loved survivors from the small press era. Covers show age toning, rubbing, some creasing, and handling wear -especially Vol. 1, No. 1 (Fall 1971), which bears scuffing and discoloration but remains fully intact. Interiors are clean and unmarked, bindings sound. In other words: these books have been around the block, but they still carry the spirit of the 1970s literary underground.
