This envelope contains items relating to a commission he had in 1971 to produce cartoons that featured Castrol GTX Motor Oil. The envelope was sent to Brian by Castrol, and includes eight professionally taken colour photographs of Castrol products, including oil cans, Castrol Display Units, Signs, etc for him to use as reference when drawing his cartoons. Also in the envelope are 17 smaller black and white photographs of various petrol stations with Castrol products, again for him to use as reference material Two larger photographs featuring an Agricastrol display at a trade show, And a folded piece picturing a Agricastrol tin A folding leaflet for Macnaught Super-Lube, a Castrol product, and a complimentary slip from Castrol.
