(1962). First edition. Very neat underlining, possibly by Dr. Jacobson, to at least 10 pages, else very good in blue textured boards with titles in silver; in a price-clipped, slightly soiled, nicked and edge-torn dust jacket with age-toning at the borders. SIGNED by the astrophysicist, Dr. Allan S. Jacobson, winner of the 1986 Rossi Prize. The prize was awarded for pioneeering work on high-resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy. This book is a Methuen's Monographs on Physical Subjects. 174 pp. with figures.
