Paper doll books were made to be purchased and then destroyed by the user and thus are very scarce today. All original, complete and uncut. Book with slight wear but with insect damage along the front cover fore-edge. VERY GOOD.

Dabei werden die folgenden Fragen beantwortet: Wer waren die Swing-Jugendlichen und wie leisteten sie Widerstand Hierbei ist zu beachten, dass die Swing-Jugend in ihrer Geschichte und in der Reaktion seitens des NS-Staates regional geprägt ist und somit der Fokus dieser Arbeit auf der Hamburger Swing-Jugend liegt.Deutschland 1933 - die NSDAP übernimmt die Macht in Deutschland und verwandelt den Rechtsstaat in eine menschenverachtende Diktatur. Die Weimarer Republik, die erste Demokratie Deutschlands, war gescheitert und politische Gegner, Juden sowie jene, die nach Ansicht der Nationalsozialisten nicht im Sinne des NS-Staates handelten, sahen sich Terror, Verfolgung und Willkür ausgeliefert. Die in der Weimarer Republik erblühte Vielfalt der Kunst- und Kulturszene nahm ein jähes Ende, da sie als undeutsch und artfremd galt. Insbesondere die aus Amerika stammende Musikrichtung Jazz mit ihren vielfältigen Stilrichtungen wie z. B. dem Swing war den Nationalsozialisten ein Dorn im Auge. Die Anhänger des Swings hielten jedoch an ihrer Leidenschaft für die schrägen Töne fest und widersetzten sich dem vom NS-Staat verhängten Swing-Verbot.In Hamburg keimte Ende der 30er Jahre eine Jugendbewegung auf, welche durch das Tragen anglophiler Kleidung und ihrer Vorliebe zum Swing auffiel: die Swing-Jugend. Die Swing-Jugendlichen waren nicht dazu bereit, sich in den Marschschritt des NS-Staates einzuordnen und dem damals vorherrschendem Idealbild eines Jugendlichen zu entsprechen. In weiteren Großstädten Deutschlands erblühte zunehmend das Phänomen der Swing-Jugend und erhielt Beachtung bis in die Spitzen des NS-Regimes. Die Führungsriege beschloss, den Swing-Jugendlichen mit aller Härte entgegenzutreten und die Individualität jener im Keim zu ersticken.
