    Ephemera. Softcover; stapled wraps. Included are two issues of the SWPA Maptalk newsletter; "Restricted" printed on the front. Includes: 1) Vol. 2 No. 18, 4 Nov, 1944. Articles on "Samar & Leyte", "Jap Navy Reduced." ; "East Prussia"; "South Holland"; "CIB"; "Samar"; etc. 2) "Extra" Edition, dated 26 Oct, 1944. Articles on the Allied invasion of Leyte. 3) Also included is a brief, 4-page typed, mimeographed history, entitled: "The War in the Northeast Sector of Southwest Pacific Theatre and in the Solomon Islands. The document is undated, but from a collection of (and contemporary with) WW2 era ephemera. This document is in two parts - "Phase 1 - The Period of Japanese Aggression - 23 Jan '42 to 15 Sept '42" and "Phase II - The Allied Counteroffensive 30 June, 1943 to 15 Feb, 1944. This may have been part of a news release(?), and may be Australian in production (note the Theatre spelling), and it mentions both Australian and American forces during these periods - concerning Rabaul, Solomon Islands, New Guinea, Truk, etc. All three are age-toned, and with some light edgewear and some creasing. ; 27A.
