Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. None, as Issued. x + 563 pp. Pictorial Cover. Exhibition catalog, 2007 major exhibition of tapestries from 1570 to 1720, the sequel to the Met's 2002 exhibition "Tapestry in the Renaissance". Hundreds of illustrations, including many details of the subject works. Most are in color, some are b/w, but this is a lavish catalog and scholarly work, including contributions from most of the current Art History experts on tapestry. The exhibition was astonishing in its depth and quality; this catalog is no less so. An indispensable reference for the subject. This copy is clean, the binding is solid, the pages firmly attached. There are no markings or highlighting, just some minor shelf wear. This is a very heavy book.
