The date of issue is unknown, dates to circa 1945 conservatively. 3 5/8" x 4 1/2" card stock printed cartoon, "Team Work!" showing two donkeys figuring out how to eat two stacks of hay. This is a somewhat popular, even famous image dating back into at least mid-twentieth century. I have dated it thus because a former owner entered at the top, in ink the words "Germany" (with a swastika), "RCAF" (Royal Canadian Air Force) and "Canada" with a maple leaf. At the bottom the former owner drew a swastika again and printed "Pooey!!! There is, finally, initials, which appear to be "H.g.M." Oh yes, the second to bottom cartoon row has the owner drawing stars and orbs. This is a fascinating little piece of ephemera, especially with the annotations. In good plus condition with not tears or chips. The verso has two abrasions apparently resulting from the card being removed after being glued down to something. This has got to be really scarce.
