More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen inscription to front pastedown. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Visible wear marks to boards. Clipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edge wear with tears and creases. Price sticker to flap. Minor sunning to spine. Book was acquired from the estate of Birmingham, Alabama pathologist, bibliophile, and genealogist Dr. Albert Eugene Casey (1903-1982) who served as director of laboratories at Birmingham Baptist Hospitals from 1942-1972. The aforementioned O'Casey bookplate heralds Dr. Casey's interest in the family genealogies of his Irish immigrant forebearers.

Hardy, a famous mathematician in his own right, assisted in the publishing of this book. A name on the front pastedown.
