First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First edition. Light offsetting to the endpapers and some light wear to the ends of the spine, else near fine in good, moderately soiled dustwrapper with a few small chips to the ends of the spine and edges of the panels. Second book by the Pittsburgh-born novelist who moved to Hollywood and became a prolific screenwriter, with a career which stretched from the teens into the 1940s and included the Lena Horne film *Stormy Weather*. Scarce, particularly in jacket.
