Add to basketCondition: Near fine. Three large photographs, each measuring about 9.75" x 7.75", tipped onto mounts with 2-inch borders. The photographs are in excellent condition, about fine, while the mounts have a few nicks and slight creases to the extremities. The mounts are also very fainly curled. The images are well-composed and were…certainly taken professionally, possibly for promotinoal or insurance purposes. Each photograph depicts a step in the process of turning raw cotton into thread (though the whole process is certainly not depicted here). An inscrutable number code is present lower right in each photograph, but we are unable to date or otherwise identify the images. Nevertheless, an excellent visual document of cotton processing from the early 20th century.
