First edition. Inscribed by the author. Printed for private circulation. Original green cloth with gilt titles to the upper board and spine. With an attractive card 1892 concert programme laid in. An excellent near fine copy, the binding square and firm with slight bumping to the extremities. The contents, with a few light finger marks to the prelims and a small circular mark to the last few pages, are otherwise clean throughout. Most of the signatures remain uncut. Inscribed by the author in black ink on the title page "Mons. Wolfe [sic] from / yours sincerely / May Brotherhood / 1892". We believe the recipient to be the Dutch violinist Johannes Wolff, an original programme for Wolff's June 29th 1892 London concert is loosely laid in.
