It was released in 1949 and was the author's first American book and his only collection published by Arkham House. It was released in an edition of 3,062 copies (it has not been reprinted by Arkham). "Twelve superb short stories of a future in which the gods have led man into strange scientific and sociological bypaths -- this book would be difficult to overpraise, a perfect copy for a collector. Previously released in the UK as "The New God Waken," this Arkham edition added two more stories. Good to very good condition, binding is tight and square, boards are flat & parallel, corners are not bumped. DJ very good condition with the exception of the top, which shows wear and the bottom of spine, which has a tear.
