Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition. Stated 'First Ballantine Books Edition: June 1996' (The second half of this book was originally published by Questmarc Publishing in 1994). Signed on a Ballantine plate ( 'Bret Nicholaus, Enjoy!'). This book is in excellent condition. The covers are very clean. No soiling. The gilt lettering on the spine is nicely bright. The cover edges and corners look terrific. No rubbing. The page edges are very clean. No soiling. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are in top-notch shape. They are exceptionally clean. I don't see any soiling. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And the signed plate is the only writing to be found anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It's quite clean. You can see a vague vertical line on the rear cover. That develops because of the change in the texture of the book's covers. You can see that change in the fifth photo. There are no tears on the jacket. The color of the spine is slightly sun lightened in comparison with to the front and rear. The flaps are in very solid shape. There is a small white tab adhering to the top corner of the front flap, presumably to cover over the price. The jacket will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket: 'The Conversation Piece provides more than three hundred opportunities to explore creatively your thoughts about the world you live in. It's a book about you, about your friends-- almost everyone you know! If you were an entry in the dictionary, under which word would people find you? Ask yourself today. You may change your mind tomorrow! Signed by Author(s).

Condition: As New. CHAU4859? ?This is a superb opportunity to secure this stunning large 10" x 8" hand signed photo of historic comedian Ken Dodd at the 2003 Scouseology Awards in Liverpool who has personally autographed the souvenir where her signature rests perfectly accompanying her portrait in mint condition. Reverse provides full information of the date time and location of the signing.". Sir Kenneth Arthur Dodd (8 November 1927 11 March 2018) was an English comedian, actor and singer. He was described as "the last great music hall entertainer" and was primarily known for his live stand-up performances. As a singer he sold more than 100 million records.?A lifelong resident of the Knotty Ash neighbourhood of Liverpool, Dodd started his career as an entertainer in the mid-1950s. His performances included rapid and incessant delivery of often surreal jokes, and would run for several hours, frequently past midnight. His verbal and physical comedy was supplemented by his red, white, and blue "tickling stick" prop. He often introduced the sticks with his characteristic upbeat greeting of "How tickled I am!" He interspersed comedy with songs, both serious and humorous, and with his original speciality, ventriloquism. He had several hit singles, primarily as a ballad singer in the 1960s, and occasionally appeared in dramatic roles. He performed on radio and television and popularised the characters the Diddy Men. Dodd was knighted in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to entertainment and charity. His stage career lasted for over 60 years, and he continued to perform until the end of 2017. He died on 11 March 2018, at the age of 90.".
