Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First American edition, with a new preface by Lewis. Octavo. xvi, 472pp. Binding a bit cocked, spine dulled with some wear at the ends, hinges tender but sound, with the lower hinge just starting, very good. Inscribed on the front fly: "To Geoffrey Stone from his friend, Wyndham Lewis, Jan. 1940." A couple of passages have been neatly bracketed in pencil. *Morrow and Lafourcade* A8b, one of 1,500 copies printed.
